Looking for gift ideas for yourself or your BFF? I have some suggestions for you! I wanted to share my list with you this Thanksgiving weekend while all the great deals are happening, just in case you want to save money on them. Also, at the end I have listed my top twelve book recommendations for 2019.
I LOVE this J.Crew skirt and get tons of compliments every time I wear it. In person it’s a little more jewel tone than it looks in the photo. It is a great length and, unlike elastic at the waist, this has a nice ribbon that is flattering.
I have two cell phones, one for everyday use and one just for communication regarding my son. That means I have two phone cases, one that says “Stephanie” and one that says “ER.” These covers are super cute, but they do take a while to produce. This is a great gift for a friend, so plan ahead by 5-6 weeks.
My Caboodle not only brings back nostalgic memories of my childhood, but it’s also basically a tackle box for my makeup. I found this one at Target and I also just saw a bunch of them at Ulta... in pink glitter, no less.
I really love a good cup of coco, and after trying virtually every single one, this is hands down the best. My favorite is the salted caramel variety. Yum!
Don’t get the sheer version, get the original and you’ll have color for a LONG time. Sometimes I mix a few colors together, per my favorite makeup stylist, Amy Kennison.
If you need a new foundation that lasts (legitimately) all day, Estée Lauder is the place to go. I am obsessed with this stuff and recommend it to everyone. Go to the Estée Lauder counter and they will use a little gadget to match your skin tone with the right color foundation, put it on you there, give you a free sample to take home, and then you can decide which one is right for you. This is the best foundation if you are doing public speaking or going to be on camera and want a more professional look.
I have written about this red dress at length on Instagram. I wore it for our family Christmas cards and love it so much. It’s great if you have a shorter torso and love color. I think it looks best with a little belt. I’ve paired it with leopard print and gold.
I love this new app and all the classes you have at your disposal. Ask for the year-long subscription for Christmas and commit to taking a class a month. So far I‘ve done Sarah Blakely’s and Anna Wintour’s. Next up is Margaret Atwood.
You can only get this around the holidays (or during the cold months) as far as I can tell, so stock up. This is great in a Moscow Mule or just as a refreshing drink with a little kick.
Headbands are back — and the bigger, the better. You don’t wear them to actually hold your hair back; think of them as more of a crown. HRH Kate Middleton is credited with bringing this trend back, and for $13.99, you get six of these. I’ve worn all the colors except the brown and green. The are pretty comfy and definitely bring a little pizzazz to your day.
